Shahrokh: Navaayee

Shahrokh Izadkhah Trio plays at the Croatian Cultural Center. The concert was produced by Bamahang Productions, and Shahrokh opened with four amazing Jazz song, three of which was artist adaptations of Iranian pop folk music.
I attended the concert for Paivand Media Group with my good friend Aloyd assisting me with cameras. Shot with three cameras I really enjoyed editing the piece, mostly because I got to hear the song again and again. I hope you all enjoy. More on www.baabakye.com

ok, we did have some good jazz / pop / rock n roll players in before the rev times too surely. (we had great such players even in the older times ...)

and now, these new guys, the likes of Shahrokh, Kiosk, Hypernova, to name but a few, are doing a great job indeed ...

glad i'm still alive to see things like this happen with the Iranian folk ... Iranian traditional and folk music is alive and kicking, (some classic too but lacking there badly) and a really nice pop music scene just as well.
