I bought mine a few months ago. I actually have been taking more HD videos with the camera than still photos! I previously owned a Sony DSC-H50. The HX1 however does not offer remote control capability as my previous SC-H50. The video sound is in stereo, but the camera does not have an external mic jack which would have been nice if I was video recording somebody conducting an interview, etc. Overall, It have been happy with the camera considering I paid around 400 dollars for it.

@spearmintmonkey I still have the Sony HX1 and now the new HX100v along with the Nikon D7000 and Nikon D5100. I just love these small Sont cybper shot cameras.

@channeljemal hi mate no i am not using this camera anymore, to be honest i sold it pretty much immediately afterwards as i believed i was ready for a dslr, thanks for the comment
