Brutally difficult strategy for fighting Ganon

If you wish Ocarina of Time's final battle was tougher, try this challenge: Defeat Ganon without using Light Arrows, and without running between Ganon's legs to get to his tail. After you deal 4 to 6 blows, don the Iron Boots and continue. Once Ganon collapses and you reclaim the Master Sword, don the Hover Boots for the remainder of the battle.

I didn't prepare well enough before hand - I would need more heart containers, defense enhancement, and blue potions. Plus, I could have bottled the fairies that appear in the arena. I did manage to deal damage to Ganon with the Hover Boots - that proves that it is possible to defeat him.

It's sad and stupid that we have to impair ourselves to ridiculous extents to create a challenge.

Difficulty settings in the next Zelda please. There's no excuse.

Better yet:

fight ganon with;

3 hearts

iron boots or hover boots the entire battle

NO shield

no fairies or potions

broken biggoron's knife xD

It's really fun and challenging to fight him like this, try it out for yourselves =)

@Zeldakingify He can be hurt by anything however to make him fall the second time you will have to use the Master sword.

I have to try this since I always wanted a good climatic battle with Ganon yet all we got was some guy allergic to nearly everything, even Deku nuts.

@hyliandan i said this on the iron knuckle challenge video and i'll say it again, i had the hover boots on 90% of the time after i got them on my first run! i'll admit, ganon was hard, but all the hover boots do is give link less traction, i got him pretty easily especially because you forgot to say i couldn't use the hookshot on his face to stun him for a second which i did do on my first run because i ran out of magic early!
