When visiting my folks over Christmas, I was digging through old videos and pulled out some gigs I filmed back in the '80s. This is Probe-Plus indie-folk band, Gone To Earth when they supported Davy Spillane at The Hardman House Hotel in Liverpool, back on the 5th July 1988. Excuse the awful camera-work, it was the first time I'd ever operated a camcorder. It was primitive, massive, rented, and I had no idea about switching to manual focus. I think this was the last time I saw them with original bass player Dave Thom

  • I was the drummer in the sons of Harry Cross and we played many times with gone to earth.Dave Thom actualy played with us for one gig in London when are bass player couldn't make it.Dave Clarke the singer and fiddle player is on winebars and werewolves the album we recorded for probe.Great band live.

  • @liverpoolbellend And that was a fine album too (anything with a track called 'Mushie Picker Boogie' deserves being remembered). I saw you play a few times I guess, but can only (possibly) fix one as being downstairs at the Royal Court, possibly with The Farm. Did my old barber Gerry Kenny ever record you? I've no vinyl here in London, so I can't check on that.

  • love lubyanka stomp shame that isnt on the video but you cant have everything

  • @louielouie44 I can sort you out with one of those. Check back in a hour or so.

  • fantastic. Never ever expected to see video of these.

  • @louielouie44 That's pretty much why I posted it. I hadn't seen anything else online (bar some audio only bits), and Rose of York was particularly good on this.
