I bought mine at the beginning of this year, it's 1.8 gasoline. Probably it's not as reliable and fault-free as BMW or Audi, but it worth considering. It's very comfy, stylish and very well equipped. If you like music, you'll love Bose audio. When it comes to problems - right now i am trying to nail occasional power loss. Besides that i did camshaft maintenance (just to be sure it won't fail).
Overall - i don't think like i could change it for anything else in its price range.

As far as i know all models equipped with Bose audio system have factory installed CD changer in the rear trunk. I'm not sure about non-Bose versions. Year of production shouldn't matter. Mine is 2001 LX Bose.
