This is my contest entry for xFireflyCity's writing contest. I'm so glad I got picked to go to the next round!
Anyway, the instructions were to write a one-shot love story about your favourite celebrity couple. I chose Nick Jonas and Nicole Anderson.
I hope you enjoy it. This One-Shot will be 2 or 3 parts. :)

Walking my dog in the park was always fun. The sun would be shining in the sky, the birds would be singing, the sky would be just the right shade of blue, and of course, my dog would jog along as happy as can be. She loved going for walks, especially ones that ended with playing catch in the open field across the pond.
And that's exactly what we were doing when I first met him. I remember that day perfectly, like it's been permanently etched into my mind. It was one of the best days of my life.

"Ron! Ron, come back here, you silly girl!" I laughed as my golden retriever disappeared into the trees to find the ball.
It was actually in my hand, so now I felt kind of guilty.
"Ron!" I called out again, and she appeared.
She hadn't found the ball, as I'd known. I showed her the tennis ball in the palm of my hand and she growled. She knew she'd been tricked.
"Okay, for real this time." I said. "1... 2.... 3!"
I threw the ball further out into the field and she darted after it, catching it in her mouth before it hit the ground.
"Good girl!" I exclaimed, clapping as she trotted back over and laid the ball in front of me. "Someone deserves a treat."
I pulled out my little baggie of dog treats and I pulled one out.
"Give me five." I encouraged.
She put her paw up and I gave her a high five.
"Good job." I said, and I threw the treat into her mouth. "Now, stay. I'm gonna go get my water."
She barked and sat down to wait. I ran over to the bench where I'd put my bag and I pulled out my water bottle. I took a sip.
"Wow. You have an obedient dog." a voice said behind me.
I turned around to see a guy standing there. He had brown curly hair and was wearing a checkered button up shirt with jeans. He was smiling shyly and I smiled back.
"Thanks. I trained her myself." I said proudly.
"I wish my dog was like that." he sighed. "He's house trained, but he can't do any tricks besides sitting."
I laughed and looked over his shoulder to see a golden retriever playing with Ron. They were playfully hitting the ball back and forth with their noses.
"That's my dog, Elvis." the guy said.
"That's a cute name for a dog." I said kindly. "My dog's name is Veronica but I call her Ron."
He nodded and put his hand out.
"I'm Nick." he stated.
"Nicole." I replied.
We shook hands and we held on for a bit longer than necessary. He blushed as I squeezed his hand before I let go. We turned back to our dogs.
"They seem to like each other." Nick commented. "Elvis loves having new friends. As do I."
I laughed and took his hand as we walked over to our dogs. I liked the way his skin made mine tingle. It was a nice feeling.
Our dogs immediately ran up to us, wagging their tails happily. I let go of Nick's hand to pat Ron.
"You're such a good girl, making new friends." I praised her.
My phone buzzed in my pocket and I stood up, taking it out. I had a text from my mom. It read:
"Lunch is ready. I'll see you soon. =)"
I turned back to Nick and put my phone back in my pocket.
"I'm sorry. I have to go." I told him.
His face fell and I'm sure mine did too. He seemed like a really nice guy and I wanted to stay at the park longer. Besides, our dogs got along and that was a rare thing for Ron.
"Hey, how about you give me your number and we can meet up sometime tomorrow?" he asked.
"Sure."I replied, smiling.
I was practically screaming in happiness on the inside as he programmed his number into my phone. I took it back and he nodded.
"I'll call you tomorrow." he said, smiling.
He seemed to hesitate, but then, out of nowhere, he kissed my cheek tenderly.
"Bye!" he called out as he ran off into the distance with Elvis.
"S-see ya!" I replied, still shocked at his kiss.
Once he was away from view, I touched my hand to where he'd kissed me.
"Today was a good day." I said to Ron, and she barked.
I smiled. I couldn't wait for tomorrow.

That was part 1! Part 2 coming up right now. :)
