  • Good point. He definitely flows more and better than any other player I've seen. Maybe Borg and Ashe were similar. But if you study his game it's actually quite disciplined and precise. What makes it look so relaxed is because there is absolutely no wasted or unnecessary or asymmetrical motion anywhere on his stroke production. Balance begets symmetry. And it begins with his feet and shoulders always being fluidly in sync with each other, and never constricted or tight.

  • Roger appears to play so with momentum rather than with muscle. He seems to react opposite to what you would expect from the average person. The more pressure his is in the more relaxed he appears. I wonder if he conditioned himself to react opposite to "tightening" when he is under pressure and he uses the pressure situation as a cue to relax. I have attempted this but takes time to master and difficult to maintain over the course of a rally. Your thoughts.
