Cudhay Drug Bust -- July 15, 2009

A large quantity of methamphetamines were seized by the LA Impact Task Force Wednesday night in Cudhay. The seizure was reported to be around two and half pounds of high quality methamphetamines. The LASO Century Station Watch Commander couldn't state the exact street value of the drugs but reported that it was a "high value" seizure. The recovery occurred following a 15 minute pursuit through the streets of Florence and Cudhay. The pursuit began when the LA Impact team attempted to stop a late model Mercedes Benz near the intersection of Florence Ave and Compton Ave. The occupants of the car were suspected of transporting narcotics. The pursuit ended near the intersection of Otis Ave & Walnut St in Cudhay. A foot pursuit ensued and two suspects were taken into custody. The LA Impact team found at least two large packages of drugs.
