I stand corrected. It was O.D. Wyatt that I gave a "2" this year at UIL in Burleson, which is very close, but not quite a first division. However, you guys got a "4", which was the worst rating out of ALL the bands in the contest, including 1A, 2A, and 3A. What does that tell you? A Michael Jackson show won't cut it against the big boys in 4A. Plus, Dunbar still isn't classified as a varsity band by UIL standards because the school has NEVER made a "1" at UIL marching contests.

Once again, UIL!!! You guys got a "2". You shouldn't take it as negativity, but as a stepping stone to getting better. Instead of worrying about showmanship and backsticking, you should worry about cleaning the beats to make the rest sound better. I'm sure Polk tells you that!! UIL are the events that get your program PAID and RECOGNIZED, not the so-called "Battle of the Bands" in Dallas, you know like the Western Hills, Paschal, and Southwest bands. All three lines are exceptional.

Actually, I TEACH percussion (22 years worth) and have 3 national titles under my belt as a teacher AND performer on the high school level. You didn't see that curveball coming, did you? Word to the wise: if you put something on Youtube and can't take the comments, DON'T PUT IT ON HERE!!!! How do you know that I wasn't AT Dunbar as a guest percussionist when this was taped? I KNOW that this was done two years ago. I judged you guys at UIL this year, so I KNOW what I'm talking about!!

Its always sumbody that has to show negativity thats is why this was a practice video quit comparing us to other colleges cuz we are a high school you do nothing but waist your breath complaining about us i didnt ask u to coment on this video FUCK MLK they are not us and we are much better since this video is like 2 years old and those were crabs u FAG

And you guys are STILL not playing clean. Was the original line as dirty as this one? They need to work on more technique and skill and less dancing! Southern University is the best HBCU because they do both of these things, and MLK High School in Chicago is the best black band because of the same. Get a pen and a pad and take notes.

Can you guys be original and NOT steal from PVAMU, Grambling, or FAMU? Check out some REAL high school drumlines like Marcus, Colleyville Heritage, LD Bell, or Round Rock. They are the real deal!!
