No they didn't. Kurt got the song name from his friend writing "Kurt Smells Like Teen Spirit" (Teen Spirit being the deodorant)

@heyheyheydude No it wasn't... actually when Kurt read the writing on the wall "Kurt Smells Like Teen Spirit" that a friend of his then girlfriend painted, he didn't knew anything about the girl deodorant, he tough it was a cool "Anarchy Slogan" but in fact it was almost like saying "Kurt has cuties"... so when the song became a hit someone mention it was funny he named a song after a deodorant, to what he answered " Ha ha.... wait, I did?...

@XWFwestling It was actually Dave's old girlfriend haha! But she wrote it because Kurt's girlfriend Tobi wore Teen Spirit... so she made him smell like it... if you get my drift ahha.

@KurtDonaldCobain1994 actually, his old girlfriend spray painted on Kurt's wall "Kurt smells like Teen Spirit", not knowing it was a deodorant he saw it as a good quote. It wasn't till after the song was released that some one said to Kurt "Isn't it a little odd that you named a song after a deodorant?" and Kurt said "I did!?!".... btw GOOOO NIRVANA

@Jimendrix They have a new lamer version. and shampoo. and conditioner etc. After the song the brand EXPLODED to go to body washes, Hair Gel, Shampoo, Conditioner etc
