Born in 1911, artist Will Barnet continues to create new works, even while preparing to celebrate his 100th birthday. Barnet is represented in virtually every major public collection in the United States, and is known for work that depicts human figures and animals in daily scenes that verge on the dreamlike. From the 1930s to now, his work has varied in style from the representative to the abstract. STATE OF THE ARTS producer Susan Wallner meets the artist in his studio, and talks to his son and sometimes curator, artist and Montclair State University professor Peter Barnet.
