As a kid my hero was Steve Austin. When I pretended to be bionic, then the other kids would really give it to me. :-/

Whoops. I accidentally removed my comment. What I had commented on was (although I really liked the show, I apparently didn't know it as well as others on here). I asked: 'how could he lift these weights without having a reinforced spine (never shown to me on any episodes I watched, including the pilot)?' Apparently some $6 million dollar fans on here corrected me saying his spine WAS indeed replace. Good to know, because who would try lifting a van without one?

@ColRangerFontana Want to guess that Steve Austin is now lying in some VA Hospital since they had to remove his bionic limbs under the conditions of SALT II? That's right. A nuclear test ban treaty was the end of him.

if you really knew the show you would know that Dr Rudy Wells reinforced Steve Austins spine to handle the weight of things he knew he would life with his bionic strength it has been mentioned in a few episodes
