Electroluminescent (EL) Wire by www.ImaginaryColours.com. This set is battery operated, but there are many other options for EL wire. You can plug some sets into the wall, others by 9v battery, others by AA batteries. Lots of colors from which to choose! Great for Christmas, parties, raves, costumes, marching bands, flag squads, parades, boats, cars, etc. Use your creativity then send us pics and your YouTube link so we can share them with other light-lovers like you!

Note that the video can't capture what this light really looks like in real life. Just know that your satisfaction is guaranteed at Imaginary Colours. Thanks for watching!

  • How much glow does it give off??

  • @FlipTheDish How does one answer that question? The video itself should give you a good idea unless you have an old monitor that's dark.

As for actual lumens emitted, I would not know. The manufacturer does not provide that info. Besides, different colors will be brighter than others. I hope this helps.

  • How do I customize the length of the EL Wire?

  • @kwebber1234 it will depend on where you get it from but usually you have to solder

  • @panzuman

    It comes with it.

  • @kwebber1234 well if you get some pre set distances, there are already connecters. But if you plan to use a custom length you might have to solder it.

  • @seterry so when i buy it i have to solder it? or its already connected?

  • @kwebber1234 well, if you're connecting it to a power source yes, you have to solder part of it. but you don't have to solder the end.

  • @seterry will it still work? do i need to solder anything?

  • @kwebber1234 yeah, you can cut it.
