I have never heard a better solo set than that, and if I have it was performed by Prince.

I think the entire band was pumped that night! They were on fire for the whole of the Lovesexy aftershows - every one is ridiculously good and what's more, they were performed after a full 2-hr show the same night! Oh, and he was only 30 years old at the time. For anybody who hasn't reached 30, believe me, you will get there and be amazed to think "Prince was doing this at 30?"!! He could pack in more energy in 10 minutes than a lot of bands nowadays could exert in an entire show. Superhuman.

This is from that famous Prince bootleg, "Small Club" This is by far the best version of Rave Un2 the Joy Fantastic! Of course, my alltime favorite Prince bootleg is "Neon Rendevous" (glad I got them both on CD!) ^_^
