Filmation didn't just do cartoons, they did several notable live action shows for Saturday Mornings as well. This time around we take a look at the DVD sets of 3 of my faves.

They need to put Shazam! on DVD too just like they did with the Secrets of Isis. When will Filmation put Shazam! on DVD?

@Wridde23 Warner owns the rights to that one, and they haven't said a word yet. They put ONE episode on a bonus disc with one of the Wonder woman sets a while back, but it was a limited time thing. At least with the Isis set we DID get the crossover episodes that guest starred Shazam.

@RoadworkCallum45 It was ruined by a 15-second ad? That's kinda sad... Ads are a part of the site, as they are a part of many sites like this. It's what keeps it free for all of us. It's either ads, or have YouTube become a pay site...and I doubt ANY of us want that to happen.

Rather then showing & discussing the packaging I would much rather see you give a more in depth breakdown of what the series is about so I know if it would be something I was interested in.

@Lfdjake91 Well, that isn't really my focus with these kinds of reviews. It's really just to show what's on the DVDs, a closer look at the packaging inside and out, that sort of thing. so people who ARE familiar with the shows can see if it's a decent release or not. That said, I might go more in depth with these ones at some point. They all warrant expansion, imo.

Zaranyzerak, what do you think of Digital Copies? On Blu-Ray sets would you prefer to replace Digital Copies with DVDs. (ME personally doesnt benefit much. I mean watching a movie through an Ipod seriously.)

i'd grown up thinking filmmation was always cartoons like He-man and She-Ra and the real ghostbusters, i had no clue they did live action shows until about half a year ago i picked up a used copy of 'ark II the complete series' for 7 bucks at the local record store, which i was oohh cool a man and his kids with a monkey and it looks cheesy and it's cheap, i love cheesy sci fi, so i look it up online and just start learning.... it's amazing sometimes how a cheap dvd can get you even more hooked..

Really interesting & cool stuff. I'm a retro sci-fi junkie and it's awesome you cover stuff like this. These are neat little shows and I love watching them. Didn't know that the Ghostbusters cartoon existed, though. I'll have to check that out.

However, if you ever talk about Star Trek again...the 'a' in Doohan is pronounced like an 'e' and the 'h' isn't very obvious. DOO-hen, not Doo-HAN. >.>
