  • Maybe we can create some tasks based on this game. e.g.

With a point given on the grid, how many (different) squares can be formed?

    With two points ...

How to tell whether 3 points can make a square (with one more point added)?

How many squares can be made with 6 points? In what ways?

Create a set of 4 points that don't make any square, but with an additional point (in more than 1 way), a square can be made.

  • I miss this game dearly. I wish there were a place people still played as in the AOL days.

  • Thanks!

For those who haven't learnt Pythagoras Theorem, the game can motivate them to think about how the area of the slant squares could be calculated. I think it is not difficult in some explicit cases, from which the general method, hence the proof of Pythagoras Theorem, comes up naturally.
