Always always always hook ground first!!!! Never the anode (positve) first because the current can travel through you when you are hooking up the ground. And there is enough amps in a battery to kill you. When you are hooking the fround up first, if you do have a issue hooking up the positive the current wont travel through you since the battery is already grounded. Now if you hook positve up first once you go to ground it the current can still travel into you and still do a number on ya.

Nice video, simple yet educational. I have a 69 Ford Ranger. Its has a 390 motor, stick shift, manual brakes, no power brakes, and its 4x4. Pretty nice but needs lots of work. Runs like a champ. I think I need a new battery because when I try to start it, it just makes that clickin noise when your battery is dead. hope thats the problem.

@iexploderacoons thats only if something is pulling a load on the battery, you can touch the terminals all you want, its not going to make a difference. Its chemical energy until you choose to put a load on it.
