"CARLI!!!!" I heard as soon as I got out of the car... I turned around with a smile on my face.
"MANDI!!!" she ran down the sidewalk from my front door, and almost knocked me over as she hugged me.
"how was it??? How's aunt faith??? How are grace, abby, will and uncle tim??? Ahhh tell me everything is the album amazing? What's his band like?! Whats, this new single I keep hearing about???" I laughed
"Breath mandi breath." She laughed and picked up one of my bags, I looked around for Nick and saw him saying hi to his mom.
"ok It was great, Everyone's great they all loved Nick! And shhhh the album is a secret remember!?! All hell would break loose if anyone found out about it, I'll tell you inside."
"there she is!!! Hey Carli..." I smiled, as we walked through the door.
"KEVIN!" I said and gave him a big hug.
"how have you been? How was recording? How have you and Nick been? Where's this new guitar I've been hearing about." I laughed at how alike these two really are.
"this is ridiculous, She's only been gone for a week, not even a week for five days, its not like she's been gone for a year or something." I Frowned and leaned around Kevin, to see Joe walking towards us, only there wasn't a joking tone in his voice, or even a playful look on his face, he was 100 percent completely serious. Kevin rolled his eyes, but tried to stop me as I moved around him to face joe. I smiled up at him reassuringly, Joe couldn't actually mean it, I mean yeah we've all had a rough time but joe was like my big brother. We've always joked around, pretended to be mad at each other, but neither of us actually ment it. Looking at Joe now, I realized that this wasn't one of those times, he wasn't looking at me like I was his little sister, he was looking at me like I was the devil or something.
"hi Joe." I said with a small smile.
"Don't "hi Joe" me, don't sit there and look at me like nothings happened, you know what don't even talk to me." He hit his foot against the wall for effect and stormed up the stairs, which was kind of ironic if you think about it considering this is my house.
"ignore him, He can't seem to understand that none of this is your fault." I narrowed my eyes at kim, who had just walked into the room.
"all what is my fault? How is anything my fault? You're the one who decided to lie to me about your "relationship" with him, I didn't do anything!" kim looked down a little sad, but turned around and went back into the living room.
"uh Carli maybe you should go a little easy on them, they're both going through a rough time." I turned around to face mandi.
" a rough time? Mandi she lied to me! She didn't tell me about the fact that she was dating joe!"
"I understand that but a lot has happened In the past week and you need to hear all of that before you start yelling at either one of them." I laughed and grabbed my bag out of her hand.
"whatever, this is unbelievable, in case you forgot mandi, the two of you lied to me too, it wasn't just kim." Mandi looked at me shocked...
"alright Carli I think that's enough." Kevin said putting his arm around mandi and leading her up the stairs, I laughed in disbelief, and walked into the living room to find Jordin sitting on the couch looking uncomfortable.
"Jordin! Ahh its so good to see you again." I said running over to hug her.
"hey Carli hows it going? How was Nashville?" she said as she let me go. I laughed a little as we both sat down.
"yeah.. Nashville was insanely fun you're going to LOVE the album the band he has is just amazing! And I wrote my first single, but don't tell nick he doesn't know." She gave me a weird look.
"Nick doesn't know?" I laughed
"Well my cousin Will and I wrote it while Nick was recording his last song, and I ran it past John fields, who's our producer, and the bassist in the Administration, and he loved it! So It's going to be my first single, and its kind of about Nick, so I want to get it down with the band before he hears it." Jordin nodded knowingly.
"hey Carli can I give you my two sense on the whole situation?" she asked hesitantly, nodding in the direction of the Hall. I nodded
"ok please please hear me out here, I'm not taking sides but I did have a chance to talk to Joe and Kim a little about everything that's been going on, they are both really messed up over it, Kim is so upset about hurting you, and Joe doesn't know what to do to fix everything. And deep down you know that you're not really mad at Mandi and Kevin. You love all of them, I saw enough of that in south America, I understand that you're mad at them, and you have every right to be, but Maybe go a little easier on all of them, Joe's really upset with the whole Breakup not to mention that now he has to see her suffering, which hurts him even more..." she trailed off, and then something clicked,
"wait breakup?"
