Otter is the animal totem associated with the Rest and Cleansing Moon. Working with otter can teach you about playfulness, nurturing, originality, inventiveness, nobility, curiosity, humanitarianism, companionship, and child rearing. I`m a pretty young child (ten to be exact) and I`ve been going through tough times. I have a forest behind my house. I went there to walk by the water and I heard splashing. I turned and there he stood- the otter. He froze and looked at me, and I couldn`t help but laugh and he swam away. I don`t know what he was trying to say, but I know it was good. I feel... I don`t know... 'lighter' I guess. Not as heavy hearted anymore.

The Native American experience of finding my spirit animal has been on my bucket list and I did a little research on the net about the ceremony. That night I went to bed thinking that for me to know my experience was genuine, I would have to see an animal I had never seen before. The next morning I got up, took the Cockatoo out on the lanai and when I looked at our canal what do I see but an otter swimming around in front of me diving and chittering away. He stayed a good 5 minutes. Pure Magic!!

I've been listening to a number of your video's over the years, they're so beautiful! I was wondering if you have any plans for releasing a cd (or if you already have). I'd be VERY interested!

I love otters. They used to follow me and play with me when I was kayaking. They go under my kayak and pop up about 10 feet in front of me. They'd even follow me back from the river to the lake before turning around. The best time seemed to be right after sunset as it was getting dark.
