This conversation about animals versus humans is a bit silly. Humans are animals. All animals have the same range of emotions and a wide variety of complex behaviors. There is no behavior truly unique to humans since there is no aspect of the behaviors combined to produce even, say, language that some species or another doesn't possess in part. There are altruists and selfish individuals in every species. It's sort of a moot argument to argue which animal is more animal like...
