Dick Dale was a great guy. He played at the Rendezvous Ballroom in Balboa and played his butt off for years.....he deserved the fame he got with Miserlou and all the other heavy hitters on the Surfer's Choice album. Loved his sacks man....and the drummer too!

A long time favorite, others grew up with listening to nursery rhymes..... I grew up listening to Dick Dale.

The crazy thing is Dick Dale not only plays the guitar on this song, but on this paticular recording, he takes his turn at doing a drum solo as well as a horn solo, (sax I think). This is live so he had to trade off instruments with his band while in mid song while in front of an audience. Pretty bad ass.
