Jazz . . . Booze . . . Boys . . . It's a dangerous combination.

Every girl wants what she can't have. Seventeen-year-old Gloria Carmody wants the flapper lifestyle—and the bobbed hair, cigarettes, and music-filled nights that go with it. Now that she's engaged to Sebastian Grey, scion of one of Chicago's most powerful families, Gloria's party days are over before they've even begun . . . or are they?

Clara Knowles, Gloria's goody-two-shoes cousin, has arrived to make sure the high-society wedding comes off without a hitch—but Clara isn't as lily-white as she appears. Seems she has some dirty little secrets of her own that she'll do anything to keep hidden. . . .

Lorraine Dyer, Gloria's social-climbing best friend, is tired of living in Gloria's shadow. When Lorraine's envy spills over into desperate spite, no one is safe. And someone's going to be very sorry. . . .

From debut author Jillian Larkin, VIXEN is the first novel in the sexy, dangerous, and ridiculously romantic new series set in the Roaring Twenties . . . when anything goes.

  • I got this book for my Christmas present and I finished it last night because I just couldn't put it down! Really an amazing book:D

  • @ABooKwOrMgirL16 The book is told through 3 girl's POV: Gloria, Clara, and Lorraine. Each girl wants something different from their lives. Gloria, to have freedom like the flappers before she gets married, Clara wanting a new start (hope this wasn't a spoiler), and Lorraine tired of living in Gloria's shadow. Very entertaining and visual of what the 1920s and Flapper movement was like. In my opinion, the POV I really liked the most were Clara and Gloria. Lorraine was a total bitch.

  • Awesome book. So engrossed in it! Clara is my fave, real and wise.

  • Got the book 10 months ago, read it in less than a day. It's an awesome book, I don't really like Gloria too much,it was fucked how she didn't give Lorraine a chance to explain herself, and if Gloria was such a good friend to Lorraine then why did Gloria turn on her so quickly? My favorite characters on here are Lorraine and Clara. It's a really good book, I hope Lorraine doesn't f*ck up as badly in the Second Book!!!!

  • dang do you they could have found cute people?

  • @3crazypets I'd say my favorite character was definitely Clara. She's scarred, and tries to move on. I also like Gloria, but I find Clara a bit more relatable. Lorraine went from understandably jealous to just a total bitch.

  • my favorite character is Clara(: I found vixen by accident and instantly fell in love! I am in the middle of it right now(:

  • Im in the middle of reading the first book and so far I love it!!!! Clara is my favorite character. Then comes Gloria. I feel like Lorraine complains to much and is too mean. I am totally going to read the second book (:
