1970 Ford Mustang Mach 1 w/ Magnaflow Exhaust

My weekend car. It has a 351 Cleveland-4 barrel (351C-4V), an AOD replaces the FMX automatic, and custom rear disc brakes. Other mods include a Holley Street Avenger 670cfm carburetor, Isky RV cam, 2 1/2 inch Magnaflow exhaust w/ X-Pipe part number 15816, Pertronix Ignitor, Flame Thrower 7mm Spark Plug Wires and K&N Filters.

did you need to make any modifications to get the aod to work in there? how does it run in the car? does the overdrive work fine?

The trans bolts up the same as a Windsor and the driveshaft has to be shortened for the added length when compared to the FMX. It runs great in the car despite having a 3.00:1 rear end gear. I could run it 150mph if properly setup.

its that i just recently purchased a 1965 galaxie, it has a 352 fe engine and it has an fmx. it would be nice to have an overdrive transmission in that car, because its a real cruiser.

I'm still working on the car, but money is still limited. Eventually I'll plan on another paintjob and have the Dearborn Hoodstripe with 351 in those plans. The reason why it looks like its missing those details is because my brother drove it without my permission and wrecked the car in 1999. My intention back then was to get it back on the road.
