@77bubba00 I remember standing under the nacelle with them in aug doing leak checks....it was so loud it was hard to breathe.....I was at Dyess 84-86, and Ellsworth 86-92

@chriskieninger Same here... 5 years at Dyess. Yep, they ALWAYS use max aug on takeoff.

I worked on them for 9 years.........never saw one take off in anything but full burner...and that wasnt much runway

@weswing04 Incorrect. I've flown that jet for years and every takeoff is full burner. It all depends on the jet's takeoff weight and pressure altitude/temperature of the airport they are departing from.
