Video Review comparing the Asus EEE PC with the Kohjinsha SA5 (E8). The Comparison is with the Japanese version of the EEE PC which comes with Windows XP Home as its native OS. Both computers are very similar and essentially the same size and weight. Since the Asus had a faster CPU I expected it to easy beat the Kohjinsha SA5. However, I was surprised to find that the Kohjinsha seemed just as fast, and was a much more productive machine as it had a much better screen and a 40GB HDD. The Asus's 4GB SSD was very limiting.

  • Cool..I have kohjinsha

  • But what's good with the SSD drives is that it's shock proof. I believe.

  • I have XP (lite, but doesn't miss anything) + Office + Counter Strike + Google Earth + VNC + Firefox + Second Life and 500MB free on my 4GB Eee.

  • i'de like to point out a couple of errors in the system specs for the EEEPC, 1st:CPU. yes, it's an intel celeron ULV(ultra low voltage)CPU and has a default clock speed of 900MHz...but for the EEEpc 701-4g model it was under clocked to improve energy use and heat production to 650MHz.

2nd: RAM. the EEEpc uses DDR2 ram and can take a max of 2GB

3rd: SD card slot. the slot on the EEEpc can take SDHC cards that start at 4GB and at the moment go to 16GB and they are used by eeepc ass SSD drives

  • Can anyone tell me the name of this song? liked it a lot...

  • I love electronic retailers that are HONEST about their products. I'm considering purchasing a Kohjinsha UMPC, but probably not for about half a year. But these videos will definitely remind me to purchase from you guys.

  • Except the Asus is some 200US cheaper then the Kohinsha. For its price the Asus does what it needs to do.

  • But you fogot something .. the price
