Nimi Places 20100716 - new display mode: paths

Video showing new display mode in Nimi Places - 20100716 build - paths, along with its 5 themes. Paths share most of functionality of places - excluding those specific differences. Of course User can create more than one path to be displayed on the screen. Desktop is hidden using "hide desktop" enhance from settings menu.

Nimi Places is a freeware for non-commercial use application that allows to quickly organize files and desktop - by displaying desired locations like folders or drives on desktop in special skinable boxes. Those have such features like smooth scrolling support, file labels, file sorting and more. User can choose from places(multiline vertically scrollable) and paths(one line horizontally scrollable).

Application is portable and doesn't require installation. It uses own image thumbnailing and caching to bring high quality image thumbnails and better performance of elements display.

Settings for each path or place displayed on desktop are individual - those can have different skins, graphic filters(like sepia or blur) or for example item size. Those, if capable, can have such interaction behaviour: always opaque, opaque on mouse hoover or opaque when desktop is focused and activated.
