I don't get the point of this.....Why spend time on this, if it's not useful? Sure, it can look cool, but if dance is what you're going for, it should be more impressive. A kid can learn how to twirl a stick on his own given a week or so.

0:03 - 0:08 Your basic strikes are a bit sloppy.
I know this form is just for show and a reason to give people variety but still the dude in the back is easier to watch because of his control.
Search youtube for "japanese bo form". That is my personal favorite bo form on youtube so far. Of coarse there is also Mike Welch and Nick Bateman which probably rank higher but not my cup of tea.

read my message again and you'll see that nobody taught me... that mean no teacher! and I'm not practicing kobudo by the way.
I just wanted to learn some move for something artistic and not how to fight with a bo. I know this is not good in bo sparring.

thats not the point and by the way the bo, its not for fun ive started learning bo and ive been struck a few times by bo. Its not for fun. If that what your teacher teaches you I sugest you change schools ..

I partice martial arts, but not with weapon. The bo is for fun and nobody taught me to manipulate it. I learned some moves looking other people. And I did this within about 1 month. I think it's not bad for that.
And I know this is not kobudo. There is always competition between artistic show and kobudo people. Some don't accept the opinion of others...

@Toombs29 Too gentle to give them a reputation. Of course there is nothing bad or wrong to spend the time as this guys do in this movie, I also think they have lost a lot of time to learn this "ballet", but, please, do not call it martial art....
