easy way to fix disk boot failure(freeze HD to recover data)

put the hd on ziplock bag or plastic bag then wrap in clothe, place in refrigerator for about 20 minutes. remove it and warm up a little. then re install the hd and see the results.

if doesn't work. check the ide cable. maybe your cable is damage or check your power supply. that connected to your hard drive.


after i fixed the problem i back up all files then reformat the HD because there's a possible that the HD disk boot failure again and you do the same way again. . ^^

*NOTE* not all diskboot failure can be fix by freezing your hard drive only if you hear some rough sound in your HD. it can be possible to restore your data by doing this ref trick.

@aljenoooo yung boot ng pc mo tol na palitan sa BIOS settings mo. punta ka sa BIOS setting ng pc mo pag yung sa first boot ay floppy or cd rom. palitan mo ng hard drive sa first boot sa second boot at 3rd boot bahala ka na kung anu gusto mo ilagay.

@TheJudge137 Actually no, it does work, and generally it's one of the very few safe methods to get a drive to live for a few minutes-hours, since opening the drive is a great way to permanantly FUCK UP a drive

This works but is not permanate. If you are lucky you will get 1 or 2 more boots out of the thing. just enough to get your data off it. however if condensatoin has built up you will fry it and lose everything.
