I recorded this video at the recent debate, hosted by peta2—PETAs youth division—at Harvard University. PETA vice president Bruce Friedrich faced off against Wes Hopkin from the Harvard Speech and Parliamentary Debate Society to argue whether or not eating animals is ethical.

Sorry about the shakiness—I filmed this from the audience. Enjoy!

  • @jcomd You can feed a billion more people on a plant based diet... Believe it --- If we run out of food - It will be because we fed it all to the animals rather than to humans! ;)

  • Were you laughing for lack of hands or abundance of hands?

  • P eople E ating T asty A nimals

  • Also pay per click ads linked to factory farm videos - about 15 cents per click, targeted age, they can share online with friends easily, no gimmicks, no overhead buildings or employees and highly efficient and effective yet their videos have so few views and mostly from current vegans. Its pathetic.

  • Small crowd, AdoptaCollege (dot) org by Vegan Outreach reaches millions yearly at 1000's of colleges a year with great factual literature. Mostly volunteers busting our butts and the group struggles with a minor budget while peta squanders $36 million and we have to pick up the slack, KISS keep it simple stupid. I have done over 100 colleges in my regions many 10k-50k students and in a day can influence the majority of the student body and make it spread with pure facts.

  • @beaelliott "@jcomd You can feed a billion more people on a plant based diet... Believe it -" Sorry, you are missing my point. I agree we can grow enough grain to feed the entire planet. The point is: I LIKE eating animal based protein. I ENJOY my steak and foie gras. My point is that people like you, (the few) will gladly IMPOSE on the rest of us YOUR idea of what we should be consuming IF you get the power. And that ideology (central planning, socialism) has led to the most starvation.

  • Humans eat meat, it's the natural way of things which has been followed for generations GET USED TO IT

  • Animals become extinct when they run out of food. Homo sapiens will become extinct by the tyranny of the few if we let them.

  • Awesome.
