Another point that can be argued here is the fact that the city with the most gun regulation in the west (Detroit) also has the highest crime rate.So really, by rebuking the right to firearms ownership, you aren't saving as many lives as you would hope. I see what you're trying to say and understand how you might believe that, but it simply doesn't work that way. Taking away firearms does not end violence. It simply aggravates the situation further, and promotes illegal activity, in a way.

You don't really understand it, do you? If guns are banned, you are also preventing the people, the pillars of a society, from protecting themselves from a tyrannical government. That is the point of our Second Amendment. I understand you do not live in the United States, and our views may be slightly different, but history has proven that the only time the people are disarmed is when they are being taken advantage of.
