  • so its about the same loudness at the horns on the cab cars?

  • If the horn isn't fouled yes... if it is then no, its not as loud as this one

  • This is probably one of the new mbta switcher locomotives. Is the horn on the switcher louder than on the F40PH and GP40MC passenger locomotives? Or is it about the same sound level?

  • Its fairly loud, but not as loud as the K5LAs, especially the ones on the geeps. I jumped because it was right in my face.

  • Like a railroad museum in new England or any railroad museum in America.

  • Nice catch!

  • I took pictures of one of these at s. Station too

  • I think as long as they don't have mechanical problems the GP40's n F40's are perfectly fine.

  • The original problem is that the MBTA likes to swap equipment between the Providence line and other lines. Even electrifying the Stoughton branch would cost a ton of money.

  • @TNT314159 They could buy a HHP-8 or AEM-7 off of Amtrak! Like 918 or 917 (That I got 3 saah's from today) I would love to see some MBTA AEM-7's! They should buy like 909 or 904 or some shitty one **Cough 948 Cough**
