It was a little loose and we couldn't pass in the infield at that point. The Mustang had acceleration problems on right hand corners and held us up.

is this one of Andy Boone's AARs ??? He's bringing them to Road America in WI in July and I am stoked !!

Andy bought the car a couple of years ago. I was part owner of the car about 8 years ago and it's gone through a couple owners since. It's a great car and I'm sure you'll enjoy it. I always wanted to drive it at Road America, where Swede's best finish in Trans-Am was there with a 2nd place. Have fun!

It's a 303.8 and is at 500 HP and redline is 8500 rpm. We kept it down to 7500 to increase engine life.

So maybe in the high teens with a better gear? I know these cars have to be destroked to like305 inches or something....what kinda HP do you get out of them?

A clear lap is in the low 2:20s. The main problem is that the car has a 4.10 rear end and with the 4 speed, top speed is limited to 160 mph at redline. It was a ton of fun, anyway.
