  • @Dford16 The GySgt looks to be the OSA, or officer selection assistant in the Officer Selection Station (OSS). To his right is a soon to be LT with no rank and only the National Defense Ribbon, earned through the Lieutenants completion of OCS.

  • Why is he going officer? It looks like he's a GySgt going to an O-1. If he was a Sergeant, or perhaps a Corporal that would make more sense.

  • @LAO90 Ok, i would say a deployement for marines is about 6 months. Yes, you can attend school after your deployment. Medals are earned in so many ways but basically acts of courage.

  • @spaethbd usually theyre are supposed to take them off, but in these case they were prolly ordered too for the event

  • Are covers to be worn indoors? Exciting stuff.

  • No one spends more money on their uniforms than the Marines.
