  • Can't you melt the edge off the glass top with the blowtorch instead of sanding it down

  • @xdir

The glass always cracks when I've tried this. It's thermal contraction when the glass cools...it need to be insulated so it cools slower. When i have the time, I'm going to try and bury the glass is a bucket of sand so that only 1/8th of the rim is showing above the sand. The I'd melt the rim slowly, and put a fiber blanket on top when I was finished.

  • why am i getting sooo much of responses lol XD

  • @danniornsmarason

Your comment left a lot of us makers concerned :)

  • so to do this you need to buy a glass cutter and a flaming torch pencul and a BIG grinder and thats about what 1000 dollars??? i would just buy a normall glass like every one

  • @danniornsmarason

There is something to be said about doing something yourself, obviously it's not your kind of thing. Go to the dollar store and buy yourself a nice glass like everyone else. I certainly don't mind :)

  • thats pretty cool man. nice glass.

  • i like it

  • @danniornsmarason you can do it with a string , acetone, and a bucket of water

  • or you could fill the bottole up with a drink.

  • Ugh, the sound of sandpaper on glass makes my skin crawl.

  • Awesome

  • tailor park boys did it better.

  • Very slick. Can you do this to the same bottle twice? If you wanted to take of the neck and the bottom, say?

  • heres an idea just go out and buy a freakin glass

  • @pyroneph try to find a bottle made of pyrex glass, alot of glass cook dishes are made of pyrex along with alot of glass art and such from glass blowers. pyrex isnt affected by heat or cold, so you can get really creative with it :)
