  • The Kubrick stare wasn't in ews. It's looking up with the head facing down. You also forgot the 2001 and bl stares.

  • @sillylittletroy I only included the most obvious ones, so those two and Dr. Strangelove got left out. EWS has its share of stares too, as seen here.

  • I like to think that HAL did his fair share of staring :)

  • Oh you should have put Pyle's face when he faces 'you know who' (no spoil)

  • hiiiiiiiiiiiiii jokerrrrrrrrrrrrr

    :D

  • I LOVE A Clockwork Orange!

  • @mcichy10 its synthemesc !

  • the end of this with stanlys face scared the shit outta me

  • When Dave is zapped into the bizarro room he's doing the stare through his space-helmet and quivering. There is also the intense low-angle that I think someone else is getting at (General Ripper with cigar, Dave moving through ship, crazy Writer recognizing Alex's voice, and Jack Nicholson locked in freezer). Get on it, dude!

  • Tom Cruise naturally has the Kubrick stare.

  • What @Merjia said.. some people say that a lot of the close ups of HAL in 2001 were in fact of Kubrick's stare as portrayed by the computer. The personification of that blank, cold, maniacal stare can be easily compared to the relentless red eye of the master computer.

  • @mcichy10
