  • Mni Tnx- Followed your instructions re the coax, all in, junction box now made up! Like you had problems finding fibreglass poles so have done something similar with PVC conduit piping only the diameter is larger but I don't think there should be a problem. I guess the lengths of the poles don't matter to much but the spacing of the wire is important? but I will have a play using an MFJ 259 to see what readings I get. Will let you know the results. Maybe arrange a sked for 2 cobwebs?

  • @zyphod Awesome, let me know how you go with it.

I no longer have mine up. I have a hex beam out the back to go up in its place hopefully this week once my rotator arrives. I also have a regular fan dipole up at the moment. I love trying different antennas and tend not to have the same one up for more than a few months at a time. I see something, I make it, try it and move on the to the next one. That's what I love about this hobby. So much to do :)

    Sched sounds great though. VK2MRX

  • Hi Mark

enjoyed your vids. am looking to build a cobweb and have come up with usual problem of getting F/G materials. Would be interested to hear from you re the sizes of electrical conduit you used. Another question what wire did you use for the dipoles.

  • Good vid one question the diagram shows a folding of the speaker cable on one side with different sizes for each band does this need to be done on BOTH ends or just one end of the dipole ?? Thanks
