ruled by a democratically elected goverment...Native Hawaiians were grossly out-numbered and the Queen urged non-violence.

  • My Queen we will always remember you.. mahalo

  • When will the Americans dispose of their greedy elite and realize that life was never about expansion and power, but to be a good and free individual? That liberty is not liberty when it is only liberty for the few? When will the Americans raise and do all the things they stand for in movies and fancy songs? Liberty .. it is a word not made by flags, songs and movies. But lived.

  • This saddens my heart still to know that we kanaka maole was grossly outnumbered and a whole nation stolen by greed.Thank you for sharing this video. It's very nicely done and told. Mahalo nui.

  • My Queen. Absolutely gorgeous! <3

  • No that flag was not cut up into ribbons. Dayne Aipoalani has it on Kauai, passed down through the line of the Alii. The flag is shown to groups from time to time. I have seen it myself.

  • lol why are people trying to act all smart on a video? There is obviously no one to impress :p

  • @POTCMarc101. We're always lead to belive that the missionaries we're the beginning of the end. But that's not true in this case. In most of coloninal history, its true. But in Hawaii's case, that is not ture. Our Royals told us to learn from them. And we must do what the Ali'i says. What took place in 1893 was not an act of missionaries things, but an act of betrayal against Her Majesty and Her government. And also a violation of treaties between the United States and the Kingdom.

  • The US didnt take over Hawaii first it was those missionaries. May god burn them for there evil deeds. Hey guys it would have bin worse we should be in a Hawaiian republic with no freedom of speach ect. Im happy to be american hawaiian :)

  • this trial in U.S. imperialism absolutely disgusts me.

  • If I could bring someone of importance back to meet, it would definitely be her. hands down.
