You bought the home knowing the airport was there, idiots.

HAHA! That plane is AWESOME! It blew all your stuff away because it new you would hate on it. AIRPLANE WIN, CAMERAMAN FAIL!

The truth of the matter is that this video was shot in 1995. Since then, Santa Monica Airport has installed a jet-blast wall.
But what is funny about this video? The airport was there first! That means this bitter couple moved to this house, knowing that they would be living at the end of a runway and in exchange, the price of the house would be heavily discounted.
15 years later, these are the same idiots fighting to close the airport. Go figure.

No JETS! only Piston plane.

People need to stop complaining about aircraft noise at SMO. The airport dates back to the early 1920, in the 50's and 60's Santa Monica airport recorded an average of 975 operations per day and in the early 60's the first civilian jets started coming to Santa Monica. Most people living close to the runway moved there way after the airport expanded and became busier, for everyone else who's been living near SMO for 50+ years, well I am very sorry for the inconvenience!!!

I don't feel sorry for you idiots at all. This is what you get for buying a home near an airport.

This video shows that it is from 1995. The SMO rules have changed a lot in 15 years. I believe the the type plane shown taking off is no longer allowed to operate into or out of SMO because of higher noise restrictions that were put in place a while ago (Stage II ban, for those who are interested). Much has improved since then. Every so often a new operational rule comes out regarding this airport, and each operator complies with the new rule as they should. Like it or not the airport exists.
So, who's the idiot who bought a house at the end of the runway?

The airport was there first. If you don't like airplane noise, why did you move there?
