Verdi. La Forza del Destino. Final Scene (St. Petersburg version, 1862)

Final de La Forza del Destino tal y como fue estrenada en 1862 en San Petersburgo. Tal y como sucedía en la obra de Ángel Saavedra, Duque de Rivas ("Don Alvaro o la fuerza del sino") Don Alvaro se suicida tras la muerte de Leonora. Este final cambió en el estreno de la versión de la Scala (1869).

Final scene from Verdi's La Forza del Destino, as was first performed in 1862 at the Bolshoi Kammeny Theatre of St. Petersburg. Based on the Spanish play 'Don Alvaro o la forza del sino' by Angel Saavedra, Duke of Rivas; in the St. Petersburg's version, as in the play Alvaro commits suicide after Leonora's death.

Amaizing the beginnin, an at 4:58, and the last speech of don alvaro are excellent altough I like a lot more the other version this music is music that only a genius like Verdi can do, thank you so much for posting this and thanks to gergiev for showing to us this amaizing ending, and excellent singers.
