  • alcohol is as suppresant that shuts down your nervous system you have a reaction of say coming too when you quit central nervous system is awakening also its full of sugar and your having sugar withdrawls as well you can have seizures and go into shock, alcohol is the most likely drug that will kill you in withdrawl even more than heroin withdrawl .4 years sober 4 me .

  • @JBLAKIE1 for sure!

  • @karmalevel

just saying they run the risk of becoming dependent and should not use them long term. because t

  • @JBLAKIE1 um they are not antidepressants, they are mild tranquilizers that helps with withdrawal symptoms. do your home work Jack!! P.S. you only use these pills for the first 3 days

  • @karmalevel

your advice is to replace one horrible drug, alcohol, with another horrible drug anti depressants. Doesn't solve anything jack.

  • @pmchapman28 Get some xanax or vailum to come off. it will make it very easy. also, find the reasons why you drink and work through them. I drink a bottle of red wine a day and I am struggling. write me a private message if you want to talk

  • I have been dirinking every weekend at least for the last 10 years, and I would get drunk.I just tried to quit but had anxiety and I coulden't figure out why,I had a drink and I feel much better and relaxed,as a matter a fact i'm having some beer right now. I can't quit,I need to be tied up by force for that.

  • on the first day i quit i got major shakes but what i did was bought a can of strong lager (9%) and sipped on it throughout the day - probably a couple small gulps an hour. the next day the shakes had decreased and i bought a can of ordinary strength lager and drunk that very very slowly throughout the day. the day after that the shakes were gone!

  • same thing here with the shakes my doter tells me its become of nerve damage and it would most lightly never go away, they put me on Valium to deal with my dts when i was in the hospital

im glad you are better you really seem like a nice person

  • @DjTommyKx If you get the shakes, and they get strong, it's a good idea to keep some very diluted alcohol around. If you mix an ounce (a shot glass) per quart of water, it can keep you from having a seizure without getting you off and running on another drunk binge.

It's not failure to have just a little alcohol when coming off a lot of alcohol. It's safer.

If you have a shot per quart every three or four hours, you ease yourself off the alcohol.

After a few days, you can stop safely.

  • @HVChemical It's a year since you wrote this comment. How are you now? Apperently running and cardio excersises is as strong as Prozac! I hope you stayed sober.
