it's nice to hear another successful dog adoption story.
one of my westies is adopted from a shelter. he's 8 years old and likes being told what to do by my other westie, so it all worked out.

I adopted a mix from the local dog pound. We think he's a westie-bichon mix. He has the tail of a bichon, the ears of a maltese and the audacity, toughness of a westie. Hunter is set in his ways at 8? yrs old, he's bossy but he's funny as hell and we lov'm.

I have 2 Westies, ones 7 and the others 10. The oldest one is huge, over 2 stone, but he's not fat, more muscle. And hard as nails, he'll take any dog on if he feels threatened, he doesn't seem to have any fear at all. He is the funniest dog in the world, he's bossy, and full of character, but still absolutely adorable.
