The $30 is pandering because the public would likely never see it. The gas companies won't pass the tax cut on to the public. The $1000 is a tax rebate that goes directly to the individual. That's not pandering, that's real relief. That real enough for ya?

Second the whole gas tax break won't work it will hurt the road crews and people driving. We actually need to cap the amount of money the oil companies can make, that is the only fix.

Obama preaches CHANGE, no more business as usual- His plan for the price of oil is NO DIFFERENT than any other past administration. Using less oil will not drive prices down. Requiring higher mileage cars to be built sounds great. Now you have to spend money for a new car and higher insurance rates and taxes to save money at the pump. In the end it will cost you more than running the your old car? This is a great plan? This guy is a phoney. He is getting money from oil company executives.
