One of my favorite guitarists and songwriters. Track 5 from the 1995 album, "A Man Called Destruction". Alex Chilton covers this 1978 Danny Pearson song. Written by Daniel Pearson & Anthony Sepe.

  • I first heard this song live at Lounge Axe in Chicago in 1992. I loved it from the first time, and still do. It makes me grin, and Alex' guitar sounds so beautiful

  • Wow, I just made up this song, then I went to google and searched it up to find out if it was a real song.

  • @turnidoffproductions

I'm a Cancer too! -high five-

  • I thought this song was so corny the first time I heard it. Now I don't think I could hear the corniness again if I tried.

  • This song sucks big time

  • i got a lump in my throat :(

  • @tomohika indeed

  • I first heard this song on the college radio station here and I thought it was by some local indie rock guy who was like 20 years old. Can't believe it came out in 1995 and the singer was 45 when he sang it...

  • We knew he was cool, my sisters and I the first time we met him - had that spark in his eye. We were singing back-up for him on a Box Tops Tour. It was a righteous priviledge to work with this pro.

Unassuming, but guarded when we played the first show. He slowly became our beloved friend, but you never know what's around the bend. Always thought we'd jam another tune. Along w/ Box Tops we got The Letter from a BigStar named Alex-consumate pro we are grateful. The Mitchell Sisters, M,J&Z
