Absolutely spot on Silverbirch. How sad that those charming, innocent and family orientated days of television are gone. And also, like you say, the England that we both fondly remember.
-
JUNE (peeling carrots) "Hows the new company car dear?" TERRY (exited as a 4 year old) "Its got a bigger engine, i`ll be able to fly around like that racing driver whats his name" JUNE "who`s that dear?" TERRY "Nikki erm, Nikki Nikki Nikki um?" JUNE "Lauda?" TERRY (Yells at the top of his voice) " NIKKI "

Good God this is when we used to be British - or English if you happen to be me!
Remember those old days?
-
now there's a turn of phrase!
-
At times it was a bit naff and the suburban middle class nature of the show infuriated the left wing alternative brigade, but at times Terry and June attracted 16 million viewers and a good episode was worth the effort.

I forgot I posted that, it must have been late at night. I think Terry Scott's great, I was just being a bit mean. I love him in Carry on Up the Jungle as an uneducated cave man whose technique of seducing Jackie Piper by drawing a stick figure in the sand with huge breasts, one of his best moments.
Cooorrr!

ive never laughed so much about your comment..ha ha
Yes - agree totally - StreathamG. Looking back when you see this it reminds you just how British - or English (me too) the country was. I feel no where near as English now, as we were back then.
