My long-awaited redone version of the CSS 2030 animation. Been pretty much done for over a year now, just never got around to finishing it (having a new comp that actually runs Maya properly helps :)
Featuring my outdated (early-2008) concept for a Bigelow Aerospace BA330 module-based space hotel, Soyuz spacecraft, and ...the planet Earth!

  • Hello Sir,can you explain what exactly am I looking at. Is this one of the Bigelow stations? Thanks.

  • @Darko2625 This is an animation I made a few years ago of my impression of what a space hotel built with Bigelow space station modules might be like. It's supposed to be around the year 2030. There are a few errors in my model, and the design is seriously outdated now. But this was just for fun anyway.

  • how about including electrodynamic tehters

  • @ceasefire066 My design for this space station was loosely based off of Bigelow Aerospace's station designs - with a few liberties, of course - and Bigelow did not at the time, and does not now, have any plans for using tethers with their modules, and the idea never occurred to me. I also just prefer the look of traditional technologies to tethers (call me old-fashioned ;)

My next project will be modeling Bigelow's current station plans as-is, so still no tethers :| Thanks for the input though!

  • @harbingerdawn thnx for replying..i am just a beginner in the area of space..

  • @ceasefire066 No problem. This is a really dynamic and exciting time in the history of spaceflight. It's good that you're interested.
