Just heard this song for the first time on a HBO Documentary: In Loving, The story of Richard & Mildred Jeter. An interracial couple who were married and wanted to live in their home state of Va. in the 60's. But because of certain law's were forbidden. Great song & great documentary.

Just heard this song in a documentary about Loving vs Virginia....the right for interracial marriage. Mr Loving was a white man and Mrs loving a black/indian woman. It was argued in front of the Supreme Court which started in 1963 and ended in 1967 with a ruling in their favor.
