Clifford Harris otherwise known as T.I. stopped by West Ridge Academy to talk to the students about life. He recently released "T.I. vs. TIP"

Since 1964, West Ridge Academy (formerly known as the Utah Boys Ranch) has been helping struggling teens and bringing hope to young men, young women and their families. From the earliest days, the organization recognized the positive effect its program had on young men who were struggling academically, emotionally and socially. Today, the academy has served more than 25,000 students, has expanded to include separate and distinct campuses for boys and girls, and continues to bring hope and healing to families across the world.

Each child and family is unique. It is essential to find the program that best fits your needs. West Ridge is designed to assist young people ages 9-18 who have a history of emotional and behavioral problems, low self-esteem, academic underachievement, substance abuse and family conflict.

The purpose of West Ridge Academy is simple: to send a child home with a change of heart. We are consistently able to do this by applying our foundational principles of Family, Spirituality, Integrity, Work, Service and Gratitude. With each student, a Master Treatment Plan is individually developed and implemented, created specifically for the each student's needs. Every Treatment Plan includes guidance and personal involvement from five teams including Therapists, Home Staff, Teachers, Spiritual Advisors and Recreational Therapy Staff.

The philosophy and approach of West Ridge Academy clearly distinguishes it from other programs. Our non-profit status compliments our unique position even more. Originally conceived as a charitable organization for troubled youth, West Ridge Academy maintains its focus on our students' well being and not the bottom line of our business. Tuition helps to cover the costs of running the program, but we are privileged to also be the beneficiary of many generous donors whose contributions create unusual opportunities for a non-profit organization. Their partnerships have expanded our facilities and continue to provide our students with work and service experiences.
