whats the reason for marching for kamehameha schools? explain if can

@96792qwerty It was related to the 2003 "John Doe" lawsuit against KSBE admissions policy. A 3-judge panel of the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals reversed a lower court's decision that affirmed the KSBE policy. The march was outside the 9th Circuit Court building in protest. Later, the full panel of the 9th met and upheld the lower court's decision in KSBE's favor. More at: ksbe.edu/lawsuit/summary

@96792qwerty Ah! Looks like I accidentally deleted my earlier comments you replied to! I think I wrote I had similar experiences. My upbringing was different. I know Hawaiian people have very diverse backgrounds today...but there's a new popular culture I don't have a lot in common with, and it makes me feel like an outsider. They'll say 'aloha' a lot, but you don't feel it or see it. With old school Hawaiians you feel it, you can see it in their eyes...they don't even have to say it!

@duxmax it feels like whats the reason for protestin when hawaiians isnt really getting the education there, but given education at nanakuli or waianae. how do they expect hawaiians to past tests when they getting junk education, kamehameha schools knows that too. a lot of people there isnt hawaiian in any way, shape, or form. and thats sad. just goes to show that hawaiians are in this alone. only we can do something bout the way things are runned, gotta stop relying on others. my opinion
