There is one drawback to artificial intelligence. Just speed is useless if there is not an inate curiousity and an ability to distinguish between right and wrong. What need has a robot for companionship? What need has it for adornment?
Humans advanced beyond the animals largely because of a concern for teir fellows in a hostile environment.
Robots would hardly find hat neccessary to carry out those tasks for which they came into being.
