Ok first of all, his jump is too slow. Fix that and make more maps and you should go to the ludum dare dot com page. :)

An easy way to fix the jumping right to left sprite would be using _xscale when right/left key is pressed.
That way you only need to have 1 set of sprites for jumping and moving.
